Pet Heroes

The day after we moved to Cumming one of our senior dachshunds had a tumor get enlarged constricting her breathing. Closest vet though open wouldn’t even evaluate Maggie. Took us an hour in rush hour traffic with our dog having difficulty breathing to get to North GA vet specialist. We had pretty much realized during our race to get there that Maggie was suffering and with Cushing’s and lymphoma wasn’t going to get better. The vet told us our options and allowed us time to make decision. We decided it was in her best interest not to allow her to suffer longer. We were taken to a dim room and allowed to hold Maggie as she crossed the rainbow bridge. We were impressed with the staff and how they tried to make us as comfortable as possible during this difficult time. – Jane Pugh Richardson
