Donna Mandato embodies the leadership and clinical excellence that define North Georgia Veterinary Specialists. A dedicated member of the NGVS team since its inception in 2011, Donna’s veterinary journey began with an associate’s degree from the State University of New York and a decade of hands-on experience as a licensed technician in primary care practice.

Donna’s passion for emergency veterinary medicine was sparked in 1992 at her first emergency hospital in New York, where she developed the keen decision-making skills and technical expertise needed to thrive in urgent care settings. After moving to Georgia with her family in 2000, she expanded her clinical repertoire as a surgical technician in Alpharetta—a role through which she formed an early professional partnership with Dr. Curcio.

In pursuit of greater impact within veterinary medicine, Donna achieved certification in veterinary practice management from Purdue University. This advanced credential empowered her to transition into the role of Practice Manager at NGVS, where she applies her operational knowledge and clinical background to support the hospital’s mission of delivering exceptional patient care.

As Practice Manager, Donna draws upon her extensive experience in emergency and surgical medicine as well as her formal management training to foster a collaborative, efficient environment. She is deeply committed to supporting her colleagues, patients, and clients through thoughtful leadership and strategic practice operations.

Donna’s professional fulfillment comes from making a measurable difference in both animal lives and the well-being of the NGVS team. She is grateful for her loving family and takes pride in her leadership role—ensuring that NGVS remains a trusted resource for advanced veterinary care.
